Healing Springs Residence
A crisp, art-driven home where clean contrast meets collected layers—designed to feel both elevated and entirely lived in for M Grace at Home owner, Jenny Campbell.
The Direction
The Vision
The vision centered on creating a home that feels breathable, inviting, and visually engaging—especially when entertaining. With a shared love of art, the goal was to allow the home to act as a backdrop, giving space for collected pieces to shine while maintaining an overall sense of cohesion. The palette remained intentionally neutral, with moments of color introduced through art, textiles, and accessories. Flexibility was key—spaces that could evolve with the seasons, shift for gatherings, and feel equally suited for everyday living.

How It Came Together
The Process
We began by leaning into the home's strong contrast, allowing the black-and-white foundation to guide each layer. Furnishings were intentionally kept neutral—most notably with white upholstered sofas, selected in high-performance fabrics to ensure durability for the three large dogs that reside with them, without compromising aesthetic. Custom draperies also stay neutral, but with interesting tone-on-tone embroidery detail. In the main living area, two sofas were chosen in place of a sectional—creating flexibility for rearranging the space over time or accommodating larger seasonal moments, such as a Christmas tree. A breakfast area was reimagined as a casual sitting space—designed for morning coffee, evening cocktails, or time spent with a stack of books. A colorful rug grounds the area, introducing warmth and a subtle shift in tone at floor level. Throughout the open-concept space, original, collected artwork was thoughtfully installed to activate walls and create visual interest. Pillows and accessories are intentionally rotated with the seasons or mood, allowing the home to feel continually refreshed without major changes. Collaboration with trusted vendors and trades ensured that each element—from upholstery to installation—was executed with precision and longevity in mind.

Designer Insight
Possibility was the challenge—restraint and editing made the layers feel intentional rather than busy.
